Honestly, I don't think I've had a better day in FFXI today.

First thing that happened when I logged in was King Artho camping. We got the claim but no drop, however I at least got one of the cloths so free 80K for me.

Secondly we camped Fafnir, given I'd rather go after the Fomor NMs than camp a king (Then again, I can think of quite a big list of things I'd rather do than camp kings. RL or Ingame) it turned out very well. I somehow managed to claim Nidhogg and get one of our WARs an Ebody at the expense of Nidhogg eating me in 2 hits.

Then for the icing on the cake I FINALLY got my last body piece for my Ares's Cuirass, then also got my level 25 Skadi legs, which bring me 2/3 on thos.

All in all, glad I transfered here.

So with the flip of a coin I decided to come back to XI, however this time I transfered to Seraph and have been loving it ever since.

Equilibrium has got to be one of the best linkshells I've been in. They are very sucessful, helpful, and overall fun to be with. Because of their help I was able to go 1/1 on both Rover's Gloves and Veuglaire.

My only complaint so far is too many taru and not enough mithras.

I know I'm not one to usually do this, however I think this guy is an exception.

For anyone who's not familiar with Lar deSouza, he's the artist of 2 online webcomics: Least I Could Do (http://www.licd.com) and Looking for Group (http://lfgcomic.com). And is currently trying to earn votes for a Shorty Award.

As for why I think he deserves an award is not only because of his artistic talent, but how he's out there nearly every Friday night talking it up with his fans/followers and showing his work. Something you don't see many artists do now days.

If you want to see more of his art, you can find it at: http://twitpic.com/photos/lartist (WARNING: Some NSFW comic there, you have been warned).

If you want to vot for him, please go to: http://shortyawards.com/lartist/

So looking through the upcomming Virtual Console titles I noticed "Final Fantasy II" was on their list, which made my heart skip a beat, however upon further inspection I noticed that by "Final Fantasy II", they ment "Final Fantasy IV".

Personally I'm not sure if it's Nintendo or Square-Enix that enjoy shooting themselves in the foot, but renameing FF4 back to FF2 for a VC title was a pretty retarded move to me, would trying to translate FF2 or FF3 be so hard to do? I'd gladly pay twice the asking price of a NES VC title (5 dollars) to have the ability to play FF3 on my TV.

Well, I guess on a good end this means I'll finally have a good version of FF6 to play. PSX version is nice but the loading times sucked, and the GBA version butchered the music/sound. Though I'm still curious if they'll make a 3D port of FF6, or a HQ version of it on the PSP, similar to FF1/FF2.

I've been bored out of my mind for the past couple of weeks without XI. I've been playing Ouendan, Ouendan 2, and Dissidia, but still haven't had much to do other than that due to me living in the land that time forgot. However comming back just seems meh to me considering I don't want to wind up on another Carbuncle if I transfer, where there's next to no skill around and people are still living in 2005.

I usually don't care much about what researchers do, however I came across a study that hits me where it counts and I believe it needs more public awareness.

http://www.cnn.com/2010/HEALTH/01/05/g.spot.sex.women/index.html

I'm still looking for a way to volunteer my services to this study.

So after a few more hours of gameplay my mother and me finally beat New SMB Wii, while the game was good I do consider the last boss fights kind of mild compared to the koopa kid fights because you don't actually FIGHT bowser, you just need to dodge him and hit the ! switch to win both rounds.

Either way the special world (World 9) is quite a challenge, it's made up of 8 stages and to unlock one stage you need to collect all 3 large coins for each level on each world. So far we get all the coins in World 1 and have tried 9-1 with little to no sucess. Mostly because of the part with all the rotating blocks and Piranha Plants shooting fireballs at you.

Any way I learned that ice blocks from the ice flower are a good way to kill someone as well today on pure accident. Surprised my mom hasn't cursed her head off at me yeat for how many times I accidently got her killed.

Super Mario Bros. Wii is without a doubt one of the best games on the Wii and one of the best games in the Mario library to me. It's nice to see a Mario game that goes back to the 8/16 bit era games that's also co-op. However, co-op can have it's downfalls.

Ever see the commerical to this game? Where that person sayd "Will we work compete or cooperate?" You can't get anymore accurate with this game than that sentence.

In multiplayer you can interact with other players to either help them out or make their life a living nightmare. One of the best examples is how you can pick up a player and carry them where you want by holding 1 and shaking the wii remote by them, releasing the 1 button will throw them, but not that far. While this is a good tactic to help a novice player out on some of the tricky jumps, you can also piss someone off if you want. Since if you jump near a ledge and there's an enemy above you it'll hurt/kill the character that's being picked up, so you could pretty much kill a character just doing that. Or of course pick them up by a ledge then throw them off to their death.

Another thing you can do is jump off another player like an enemy, while it won't hurt the player being jumped on you can get a nice boost in the air to help you on difficult jumps/ledges for coins, while I haven't found a way to kill anyone that way, it can get annoying having someone constantly jumping on your head.

And last but not least, the bubble. One of the best parts about multiplayer is how you don't need to wait for others to die to get back in the game. After you die you'll respawn in a bubble assuming there's at least one more player alive and you didn't waste your last life (If it is your last life you need to wait for everyone to die or complete the state before you can play again) you'll respawn in a bubble. While in a bubble you can't do anything until another player pops you out of your bubble, thankfully if you shake the wii remote you can move the bubble closer to another player to burst it, however a projectile can work also, which can bring you to the MPKing. As in any of the 8/16 bit side scrolling mario games getting damaged will give you a temporary invincible effect, however that doesn't mean crap for you if you fall into a lava pit or off a ledge, which is where you can really piss someone off if you have Fire/Ice/Penguin power. Since all you got to do is throw a fire/ice ball at their bubble while it's over a pit/lava to pop it and if they can't get to a safe ledge before they land you kill them again.

So in conclusion... who you play with will either be an ally or an enemy for you, either way this game kicks total ass and was worth every penny in my book.

Another reason why people shouldn't be allowed to post whatever they want on YouTube...

I don't know if I want to kick this guy's ass for a weak assed rant that's probably fake, or because of how he's dressed and with that smug look on his face.

This holiday season hasn’t been my finest by a long shot, it seems like it’s been nothing but a series of misfortune after misfortune.

First off was Christmas week, my family wasn’t able to spend it together due to a blizzard that started around very late Wednesday or every early Thursday and didn‘t let up until around Saturday night, which kept my mom from spending the holidays with us do to work and having no way to get home since most major roads were closed off. Which resulted me spending Christmas with only my dad and both of us being bored out of my mind while we were at it due to there being nothing to do.

Now to make matters worse when my dad woke up around 5 AM and very sick, shortness of breath and was throwing up so my mother had to take him to the hospital, while I didn’t care much since people get sick around this time what I learned later when I woke up has had me worried for awhile, apparently he had pneumonia bad enough where they have to keep him at the hospital and don’t think he’ll be home until after New Years, so I'm both worried about his health as well as mine since I have been stuck inside a house with him for nearly a week and I also don't have health insurance so I'll be paying out my ass if I need to be in the hospital as well.

So yeah, the holidays can go screw themselves this year.... At least 2009 is nearly over.

Lulz
Banned for 2 weeks on BG because I pissed off Rangs or w/e his name is on Neko, which also got be banned on neko for a week.

Seriously, the ignore function was implied on both sites so people don't bitch at a mod everytime they get offended, now if they'd learn to actually USE it instead of crying to a mod. You didn't see me begging a mod to ban Derf the retard when his dumbass came up on BG.

And on another related note, got a PSP and Dissidia game, too bad I can't progress much in it since I forgot to pick up a memory card.... woop woop wooooooop.

Seriously though, people weren't kidding about how long the tutorials are, it took me around an hour just to do both, and I'm not too fond of the thought of having to go through them all again just to progress unless I can find a way to skip them.

Oh well, will be worth it when I can blow shit up as Kefka.

EDIT: Oh and for something for the lulz:

I've decided that it's time to move on and quit FFXI, I've lost my drive ever since I got my Maat's cap due to the lack of anything to do solo. I tried joining a shell, but sadly I didn't get in mostly due to them needed members in the early AM when I'm alseep... go figure.

Linkshells on Carbuncle are pure shit most of the time. That's a fact, and I don't feel like joining some scrub shell that can't get past sky/limbus/dynamis most of the time. I know server transfer is an option but paying 20 dollars to transfer to another server that's basicly the same thing as Failbuncle just doesn't seem like it's worth it.

As for what I'm going to do in my spare time, I guess I can bury myself in some Visual Studio 2008 books for a bit, always wanted to try my hand at a game, so guess this will be as good as a time as ever.

I can't say much more I guess, so goodbye to those that still play and hope to see you in XIV when it rolls out.

And I also signed up for the FFXIV beta, here's to hoping I can get in.

I learned today 3 hours of sleep is a bad idea if you plan on shopping, but at least I can relax now instead of doing it on the week of Christmas where stuff goes from annoying to bat shit insane. Still doesn't change the fact I'm going back in town this Sunday though so yeah.... it's going to be fun. ><

Oh well, back to grinding on my WAR and COR for buffer/merits until I feel comfortable enough to throw myself back in endgame.

So after finally getting my THF testimony after trying to steal from the same Goblin I can't count how many times I got my ass handed to me, after making 2 vital mistakes I knew it was over.

First off after Sneak Attack + Dancing Edge and forced him to Perfect Dodge I accidently hit my Perfect Dodge instead of kiting him, so after his ass beating I didn't have much left in me since 9 +3 Hi-Potions wasn't enough to take the abuse.

Secondly I learned even with defense food he still hits like a fully loaded truck, rabbit pie and still was getting hit for ~170, I'm resorting to accuracy food this time since even with capped dagger/evasion I couldn't hit worth crap.

Well, time to try and steal from this Tonberry in hopes after I restock my meds I'll destory him this time.

Finally managed to hit 68 on THF, now all I got to do are 3 things before I go after the old bastard for my final time:

1. Cap evasion/dagger
2. Farm the money for the meds for the fight
3. Steal my testimony

Pretty sure I can have 1 and 2 done within a couple of hours, 3 I'm going to hate since I've heard that stealing a THF test is a pain up the ass.

Oh well... here's to hoping tomorrow goes great and I can finally stop this grind.
